location: fully remote

salary: $55-70 k plus excellent benefits

the opportunity

our client is a venture-backed agri-tech business using technology to improve livestock care and support better decision-making for farmers.

they are looking for a senior data engineer to help scale their data warehouse and bi platform, building reliable, well-modelled datasets for reporting, analytics, and downstream tools.

key requirements

5+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or similar experience of owning a big query + dbt (or equivalent) pipeline end-to-end,



ideally at a startup or small-team scale where they were the most senior data person on the work experience of being the 'go-to' data engineer and teaching the rest of the team strong sql and dimensional modelling experience big query or similar cloud data warehouse experience dbt or similar transformation framework python for pipelines, orchestration, or data tooling experience supporting bi-ready datasets and analytics workflows comfortable in a fast-moving, hands-on environment

desirable

prefect, airflow, or similar orchestration tools looker / look ml power bi data quality, testing, or observability tools startup experience

the role

you will design and maintain scalable warehouse models, improve sql transformation layers, support python-based data infrastructure, enhance data quality, and work with technical and business stakeholders to deliver robust analytics-ready data.
