- Manage a global team of 7-9 Buyers to ensure Purchase Orders are created and maintained to meet business requirements.
- Manage key metrics, identify and launch process improvements.
- Engage with planning and related functions to ensure PFG inventory is available according to customer demand.
- Develop and manage standard procedures and terminology for supplier set up and maintenance.
- Coordinate cross-business activities, benchmarking, periodic meetings and training.
- Deliver yearly cost reduction and performance targets.
- Drive world-class quality and delivery performance by suppliers globally.
- Negotiate cost reduction, inventory stocking agreements, terms, etc., with suppliers.
- Provide direction on tools, methods and rules to team.
- Maintain and develop relationships with current, new and potential suppliers.
- Create/maintain supplier agreements.
- Special projects as assigned.
Experiência y requisitos
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- Minimum 5 yrs. experience in Mgmt.
- Experience in leading Strategic Sourcing, Commodity functions.
- Project Management Training.
- APICS certification preferred.




- SIX Sigma preferred.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong negotiating, project management, problem solving and decision-making skills are essential.
- Experience or demonstrated ability to manage a global team.
- Experience in managing a global supplier base.
- Ability to managing complex materials/suppliers and internal teams.
- Knowledge or prior experience as it relates to data/information exchange throughout supply chain network.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills including executive level presentations.
- Attention to detail.
- Oracle ERP System experienced preferred.
