Investigador PostDoc Nanotechnology and Semiconductors
Postdoctoral Researcher
Location: Monterrey Campus
Disruption is the new normal, and at Tecnológico de Monterrey, every morning we wake up with the responsibility of transforming our surroundings. Our processes are people-centered, ensuring extraordinary experiences through our talent and the innovative Educational Model. Here, you’ll find your purpose, seize innovative opportunities, and be part of a collaborative culture based on inclusion, meritocracy, and respect.
What will you do?
The School of Engineering and Sciences at Tecnológico de Monterrey invites applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow within the Research Group NANOTECHNOLOGY AND SEMICONDUCTORS. The successful candidate will be engaged in theoretical and experimental work on thermoelectric materials and devices. The candidate will be working in close collaboration with Dr. SERGIO OMAR MARTÍNEZ CHAPA in the project Thermoelectric materials and devices for hot spot mitigation in advanced semiconductors encapsulation.
Your main challenges will be:
The overall goal of this project is to develop nanostructured thermoelectric thermal interface materials (TE-TIMs) and devices that can enable active, localized cooling of hot spots in environments representative of modern integrated circuits. The project aims to establish a scalable approach for electrically controlled heat removal from hot spot regions. Ultimately, the work will validate device prototypes that show a measurable temperature reduction at hot spots and satisfactory thermal stability under realistic operating conditions.
What are we looking for?
- Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Nanotechnology, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong record of scientific publications in JCR-indexed journals and/or presentations at leading international conferences.
- Demonstrated experimental and analytical skills, i
