APS Intern
**What you’ll do**:
- Support the implementation of Lean Manufacturing initiatives and APS Culture within the plant, including the follow-up and implementation of APSS standards and continuous improvement projects on site, as well as support in activities related to the plant layout strategy. This role is part of the APS area, driving waste elimination and cost reduction initiatives aligned with the plant’s annual goals to achieve operational excellence. _Tracking reports for Kaizen ideas and communication with plant areas _Support in APS activities (workshops, recognition programs, employee suggestions, etc.) _Annual APSS standards evaluation _Cost reduction projects _Plant layout updates according to PE or APS Engineer requirements Responsibilities: _Provide support in activities led by the APS area in collaboration with the operations team _Follow up on Kaizen ideas indicators (L2L, OPI) _Act as a liaison with the operations area to follow up on improvement plans _Understand APSS standards and support evaluations according to APSS checklists _Support the coordination of workshops (Hoshin, Zero Defects, APSA, APSU) _Collaborate in employee onboarding and training processes _Maintain updated plant layouts according to APS Engineer direction _Support implementation of APS workshops focused on waste elimination, 5S, SMED, and Kaizen _Train personnel on APS tools and operational excellence concepts, including standardized work and the 7 wastes
- Review P4 documents according to standardized work methodology
- What is required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent _No prior experience required; internships or academic projects related to continuous improvement are preferred _AutoCAD _DraftSight _Microsoft Office _Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing _Basic problem-solving knowledge _Proficiency in DraftSight or AutoCAD
