The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by supporting existing customers, developing new business opportunities, preparing quotations, following up on sales leads, and coordinating with engineering, operations, and customer service to deliver outstanding customer support. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customers and plays a key role in achieving sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage assigned customer accounts and build long-term customer relationships.
- Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, inbound inquiries, and lead follow-up.
- Prepare quotations, pricing proposals, and sales presentations.
- Follow up on open quotations to maximize quote-to-order conversion.
- Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Process customer orders and monitor delivery schedules.
- Resolve customer issues quickly and professionally.
- Maintain accurate customer and opportunity information in the CRM system.
- Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities.
- Support outside sales and business development activities.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity.
- Assist with sales forecasting and monthly sales reporting.
- Participate in trade shows, customer meetings, and sales training as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of inside sales experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial components.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Experience with CRM and ERP systems.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and product specifications is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
