Title: Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid - 3 days in office in Mexico City or Toluca

Duration: Full Time

Role Summary:

Design, build, and operate robust backend services in Python and Java, using AI tools such as Claude and Copilot responsibly to improve productivity and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and integration components.
- Write clean, testable, maintainable code and perform quality code reviews.
- Contribute to architecture decisions and production troubleshooting.
- Apply secure coding, observability, reliability, and performance best practices.
- Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Architecture, Security, Data teams, and product stakeholders.

AI Skills for This Role:

- Practical use of Claude/Copilot for coding, refactoring, debugging, and test generation.
- Ability to write high-quality prompts for technical tasks.




- Ability to critically review and harden AI-generated code.
- Awareness of data security and IP/confidentiality constraints when using AI tools.

Required Qualifications:

- 5+ years of backend development experience.
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Python and Java.
- Solid experience with REST APIs, SQL/NoSQL, and Git workflows.
- Strong testing practices and CI/CD fundamentals.
- English proficiency: professional working level or above (B2/C1 preferred).

Nice to Have:

- Microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native development.
- Familiarity with DDD, clean architecture, and design patterns.
- Prior experience in financial services.

Work model

Hybrid - 3 days on-site at Client's offices in Tecnoparque (CDMX) or in Toluca
