responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and effective personnel administration for the manufacturing facility, maintaining compliance, confidentiality, and reliable hr information to support business decision-making.
key responsibilities
- coordinate and validate payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees.
- manage payroll inputs including attendance, overtime, vacations, leaves of absence, disabilities, and other employee transactions.
- coordinate employee hires, terminations, and employment changes within hr systems and applicable government institutions.
- maintain accurate employee records and personnel files.
- manage time & attendance systems, hris, and hr databases.
- support the administration of employee benefits and other hr operational processes.
- prepare and monitor headcount, absenteeism, turnover, overtime, and other hr metrics.
- support internal and external audits related to payroll and personnel administration.
- ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor, payroll, tax, and social security requirements.
qualifications
- bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, human resources, industrial relations, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in payroll and hr administration within a manufacturing environment.
- experience managing payroll for large employee populations, preferably 500+ employees.
- working knowledge of mexican federal labor law (lft), imss, infonavit, and payroll-related requirements.
- experience with payroll systems, hris, and microsoft excel.
- automotive industry experience strongly preferred.
- intermediate english proficiency.
- strong attention to detail, confidentiality, analytical skills, and customer-service orientation.
