- Lead scale‑up of new and existing products and translate formulations into clear manufacturing instructions.
- Validate process parameters, equipment settings, and quality methods.
- Investigate deviations, perform root‑cause analysis, and implement CAPAs.
- Provide technical support to production and participate in MOC activities.
- Drive continuous improvement using statistical and process‑control tools.
- Manage raw material qualifications, evaluations, and substitutions.
- Collaborate with R&D;, Supply Chain, Product Management, and Technical Service.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Polymer Science with 6 years of experience;
Master’s degree with 4 years of experience;
PhD with 2 years of experience.
- Experience in chemical manufacturing and product scale‑up.
- Background in adhesives, polymers, coatings, or chemical processes.
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma (DMAIC, 8D, FMEA, 5S).
- Experience with 1K/2K polyurethane technologies (solvent‑based and solvent‑free).
- Familiarity with analytical techniques (FTIR, DSC, viscosity, solids, etc.).
- Bilingual: English and Spanish.
Work Environment
- Work performed in both plant and office settings.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs for sample handling.
- Must follow all plant safety protocols and PPE requirements.
