Job Summary:

As an analog IC design engineer in Semtech, you will be working in a team
environment contributing to design and development of advanced CMOS, bipolar,
and SiGe data and video communications products at data rates 1 to 50Gbs and
beyond.

Responsibilities:

* Design of integrated circuits from concept to manufacture (40%)
* System level simulations, circuit design, and layout supervision (30%)
* Preparation of technical reviews and product documentation (10%)
* Design and technology industry awareness (5%)




* Assessment of product feasibility, schedule, and costs (5%)
* Test planning and prototype evaluation (5%)
* Lab evaluation of high-speed analog circuits (5%)

Minimum Qualifications:

* Understanding of analog circuit fundamentals of key analog building blocks
such as bias circuits, opamps, analog filters, CML logic, ADC and DACs using
CMOS and/or BiCMOS technologies. Knowledge of more advanced circuits such as
VCOs and closed-loop systems such as PLLs and clock and data recovery
circuits is a plus.
* Appreciation of layout concepts, device models, and the effects of parasitics
and other non-idealities on high-speed circuit performance.
* Experience with advanced analog CAD tools, particularly Cadence Virtuoso.
Other tools such as Agilent ADS, HFSS, Matlab or other system modelling
software considered a plus.
* Hands-on experience with lab equipment such as spectrum analyzers, vector
