What you'll do
- Manage and oversee a team to complete the month-end close process,
ensuring the accuracy of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting packages.
- Navigate and resolve complex accounting problems across the business, providing technical guidance to cross-functional partners while balancing short-term urgency with long-term scalability.
- Lead high-impact process improvement and automation projects, partnering with FinTech to design and implement financial systems that reduce manual debt and increase efficiency.
- Own the internal control environment by performing and maintaining SOX controls, ensuring all integral accounting processes are audit-ready and compliant with Uber's policies.
- Coach and develop a team of Senior Accountants, setting high performance bars and providing real-time feedback to help them grow through the unique challenges of a global tech environment.
