Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

· Matching purchase orders to receiving paperwork to invoices, ensuring all variances are investigated and resolved.

· Review invoice to properly perform GL coding, perform two-way and three-way matching of invoices as appropriate.

· Obtain missing information, backup, and/or approvals and solve process-related problems with vendor invoices.

· Execute regular cheque and EFT runs, including matching supporting backup for each payment.

· Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them.

· Follow up and resolve outstanding invoices, credit notes with Purchasing, Logistics, end users.





· Seek out statements from vendors and reconcile accordingly, enter invoices as needed timely and accurately.

· Review and manage Purchase Order Receiving, aged transactions and take appropriate action to close them.

· Prepare information to facilitate preparation of accrual.

· Any other responsibilities as assigned.

Required Skills:

· Minimum 3 years’ Accounts Payable experience and experience in manufacturing.

· University degree in accounting.

· English 80%

· ERP Experiences (SAP/oracle or equivalent).

· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Intermediate excel formulas).

· Strong and effective communication and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to deal effectively and courteously with all vendors and staff.

· Works well under pressure, high attention to detail, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

· Ability to work independently and adapt in a consistently changing environment.
