Job Summary:
- The Controls Engineer III is responsible for guiding the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex automation systems.
- This candidate will be working with MHE systems (conveyors, AS/RS, robotics, sortation, and associated industrial automation technologies), including HMIs, WES/WCS platforms, and customer host interfaces.
- The Program Lead drives cross‑functional alignment, mentors engineers, establishes standards and best practices, and ensures predictable, efficient execution throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience:
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Computer Engineering, OR 10 + years of equivalent engineering experience.
- 5+ years PLC programming experience (Rockwell preferred; Siemens/others a plus).




- Strong understanding of industrial networking (EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, ControlNet, Profinet, etc.).
- Experience with conveyor and MHE control systems, safety PLCs, and machine automation.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, panel layouts, and system diagrams.
- Prior experience defining and working with software/PLC interfaces.
- Familiarity with SCADA/HMI platforms (Ignition, FactoryTalk View preferred).
- Ability to diagnose and resolve complex controls issues efficiently.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to lead technical conversations with customers and cross-functional teams.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
- Comfortable mentoring and guiding engineers.
- Experience with Daifuku, Dematic, Hytrol, and Pulse Roller MDR or Motor Driven Roller Conveyors
- Fanuc Robotics experience is a PLUS
