A senior cloud engineer or cloud architect who has hands-on experience operating large-scale AWS and GCP environments, implementing observability solutions, building executive-level operational scorecards, and integrating cloud monitoring data into enterprise platforms such as ScienceLogic, Splunk, and ServiceNow. You should be capable of acting as both a technical lead and trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the cloud infrastructure SME supporting the enterprise Observability Program.
- Lead AWS scorecard initiatives, including KPI definition, data collection, and operational reporting.
- Support monitoring and observability requirements across AWS and GCP environments.
- Design and implement cloud monitoring standards, dashboards, metrics, and service health indicators.
- Partner with ScienceLogic, Splunk, ServiceNow ITOM, Database, and BI teams to establish end-to-end visibility across cloud services.
- Develop and maintain cloud operational scorecards measuring:
- Availability
- Reliability
- Performance
- Capacity
- Security posture
- Operational compliance
- Analyze cloud infrastructure health and proactively identify performance bottlenecks.
- Support automated discovery, monitoring, and alerting capabilities within enterprise observability platforms.
- Drive cloud governance and operational best practices.
- Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution activities.
- Document cloud architecture, monitoring standards, and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of cloud infrastructure and operations experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience in enterprise environments.
- 3+ years supporting Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including:
- EC2
- VPC
- EKS
- Lambda
- RDS
- S3
- CloudWatch
- IAM
- Route 53
- Experience implementing cloud observability and monitoring solutions.
