Introductory (Start here)
Robotics 1
Students work in teams to design, build, program, and test robots that solve weekly challenges. Topics include the engineering design process, integrating sensors and actuators, control systems, and basic autonomy. The course culminates in a final project and competition.
UC Approval: Elective G/NCAA
Concentrator
Engineering Principles (Robotics 2)
Applies programming and engineering concepts across mechanical and electrical systems, with opportunities to participate in competitions such as VEX and Solar Cup. Emphasis on design documentation, iteration, and testing.
UC Approval: Physics D
Capstone (Jr/Sr)
Applied Math & Engineering: Algebra 2 & Trig for Engineers (Robotics 3)
Math-for-engineering capstone that connects algebra/trigonometry concepts to real engineering applications (kinematics, gearing, motion profiles, circuits), supporting advanced robotics design and analysis.
UC Approval: Honors Math C (pending approval)/4th year only
