We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer with 10+ years of professional experience to join our engineer team. The adecuado candidate will have deep expertise in backend development, cloud-native solutions on AWS, and the design of large-scale, highly available systems.
This role requires advanced experience building and operating microservices, APIs, and event-driven systems, with a strong focus on backend architecture, system design, and technical leadership. Experience with the Node.js ecosystem is preferred; candidates without Node experience but with a strong background in distributed systems, services, APIs, and backend development who are willing to learn are encouraged to apply.



The candidate will define reusable and scalable back-end architectures, drive design decisions, mentor engineers, and deliver high-quality systems at scale.
Responsibilities
Define and drive reusable, reliable, and scalable back-end architectures across platform and integrations.
Lead the design, work breakdown, and development of high-performance, API-based backend services that meet service-level objectives (SLOs) and scale with business demand.
Champion technical excellence by promoting best practices in system design, operational maturity, and engineering quality.
Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and product partners to align on back-end strategies and standards, improve API and integration consistency, and reduce duplication.
Serve as a back-end thought leader and mentor, coaching engineers and shaping team- and department-wide best practices.
