Job Overview
This role is a key member of the engineering leadership team responsible for
driving delivery excellence, operational maturity, and continuous improvement of
backend platforms and services.
The Engineering Manager leads teams responsible for the design, development,
testing, deployment, and support of scalable, secure, and high-performance
backend systems built using modern Java-based microservices architectures.
This role partners closely with Architecture, Program Management, Quality
Engineering, Security,



and Operations to translate technical roadmaps into
reliable, high-quality engineering execution. It requires strong people
leadership, backend technical depth, execution discipline, and operational
governance, with a focus on building resilient distributed systems and
high-performing teams.

Major Accountabilities

Lead and manage backend engineering teams building Java 17 / Spring Boot-based
microservices and APIs
Translate architectural and platform roadmaps into executable engineering plans
Drive end-to-end backend delivery across the SDLC, including design,
development, testing, deployment, and production support
Ensure adherence to engineering standards, including secure coding, API design,
coding standards, and enterprise frameworks
Oversee design and development of RESTful APIs, event-driven services (Kafka),
and distributed system components
Manage sprint execution, release planning, and ser
