Canyon Construction Company, a Durango-based heavy civil contractor, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee a variety of utility and infrastructure projects throughout the Four Corners region. This position is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements while serving as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel.

Because Canyon Construction performs extensive work on the Navajo Nation and Southern Ute Indian Reservation, cultural awareness and professionalism are essential.




Manage civil construction projects from contract award through project closeout.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment to support project success.
Review plans, specifications, contracts, and change orders to ensure project compliance.
Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, pay applications, progress reports, and other project documentation.
Monitor project productivity, costs, and profitability, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Conduct site visits to monitor quality, safety, and construction progress.
Assist with estimating, budgeting, bid preparation, and project planning.
Identify project risks and implement solutions to minimize delays and cost impacts.
Foster strong relationships with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, vendors, and tribal representatives.
