GENERAL SUMMARY:
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the supply of purchased parts to the assembly line.

Define supply parameters in collaboration with suppliers and establish optimal delivery schedules.

Analyze, plan, and promptly adjust orders based on production schedule changes, engineering changes (ECN), or inventory adjustments.

Implement actions to manage excess inventory and propose solutions for obsolete materials.

Coordinate subcontracting orders and part shipments (F30).

Maintain updated records of consignment inventory at suppliers (F30).

Manage supplier shortages by implementing temporary delivery schedules, considering supplier capacity, transit times, and customs requirements.

Monitor supplier performance and follow up on commitments.

Obtain supplier approval, negotiate delivery changes, and manage additional costs (start-up, setup changes, overtime, special freight); coordinate urgent logistics with third-party providers (Transfreight).

Analyze inventory levels (production parts, excess, and supplier inventory)



to maintain optimal stock and ensure uninterrupted supply to the line.

Review, validate, and manage non-conforming material lots.

Define and execute actions for non-conforming materials, including sorting, returns, or repairs (negotiating costs and issuing orders).

Collaborate with Supplier Quality (SQI), production teams, and suppliers to resolve quality issues.

Charge back suppliers for costs incurred due to their responsibility (retrofits, sorting, freight, line stoppages).

Request immediate supplier support during emergency situations.

Receive and process supplier deviation requests.

Build and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with suppliers.

Organize supplier meetings as required.

Resolve discrepancies between bills of lading, delivery acknowledgements, and invoices.

Ensure all required documentation is properly managed for transportation and customs processes.
