Job Description
HMD Trucking Inc. is looking for a Shop, After Hours On the Road Support Assistant who wants to contribute to a successful team that embraces innovation and be part of an industry leading organization that consistently sets new standards.
Desirable Experience
Previous maintenance or breakdown assistance experience
Basic knowledge of tractor, trailer, truck, semi mechanical functions
Responsibilities
Administrative duties include data entry, daily phone and email communication
Responding to incoming calls and handling appropriately
Answer calls and accommodate drivers with repairs that trucks or trailers need on the road
Assisting drivers on the road with truck breakdowns over the phone
Organizing on the road assistance with vendors throughout the US
Providing coverage for colleagues when needed
Various other support functions as assigned
Work Hours (After Hours during week & weekends)
Monday - Friday 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm CST
Saturday 7:00 am to 4:00 pm CST
Experience
Knowledge of tractor, trailer functions: 2 years (Required)
Basic knowledge of truck & semi mechanical functions: 2 years (Required)
Previous maintenance or breakdown assistance experience: 2 years (Required)
Proficient in spoken and written ENGLISH (must)
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to work effectively both as a Team member and independently
Ability to follow instructions and deliver quality results
Past work experience that is relevant is a plus
