**Job Summary**
As an Integration Engineer you'll be responsible for implementing and maintaining mission-critical integrations between Instrumental's platform and our customers' manufacturing systems.
Working directly with global manufacturers, you'll ensure our solutions seamlessly integrate into their production environments while meeting stringent reliability and performance requirements.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
**Own the integration points on the factory floor**.
** It's essential that our customers and their factory counterparts can confidently deploy our systems to high-stakes production lines.
In this role, you will write clean, performant, maintainable integration code that directly integrates Instrumental's platform with customer systems.
**Highly organized, ability to juggle multiple priorities**.
** Integration engineers will juggle multiple client projects simultaneously while debugging factory floor issues remotely.
You'll need to work closely with the project management team to reassess priorities while ensuring we meet our customer's production schedules.
**Qualifications and Skills**
**Core Development**
- At least 6+ YOE in QA related positions
- Strong Python programming skills with a focus on integration development
- Experience building and consuming APIs
- Proficiency with Javascript
- Version control with Git
**System & Network Knowledge**




- Proficient with Linux command line and shell scripting
- Strong command of networking tools and debugging utilities:
- Network diagnostics (tcpdump, Wireshark)
- System networking (ip, ifconfig, route)
- Connection testing (ping, traceroute, netstat)
- DNS troubleshooting (dig, nslookup)
- Experience with common network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP/S, WebSocket)
**Debugging & Monitoring**
- Experience with logging platforms (e.g., Datadog, ELK Stack)
- Proficiency in log analysis and system debugging
- Experience with performance monitoring and optimization
**Nice to have skills**
- Track record of successful customer-facing technical implementations
- Experience with manufacturing systems or industrial automation
- Knowledge of common manufacturing protocols (e.g., MQTT, OPC-UA)
- Experience with containerization and deployment automation
- Background in high-reliability system integration
- Track record of maintaining mission-critical systems
