**Requirements**:
**Spring Boot Knowledge**:
Familiarity with Java Spring Boot framework to understand backend services and APIs.
Knowledge of Microservices architecture and how Spring Boot fits into it.
**API Testing**:
Proficiency in testing RESTful and SOAP APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, RestAssured, or Karate.
Proficiency in testing Asynchronous Processes ( Batch and Events).
Experience in validating request/response schemas, status codes, and edge cases.
**Automation Testing**:
Experience with Java-based test automation frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, or Selenium.
Knowledge of API automation using RestAssured or similar tools.
**Database Testing**:
Understanding of relational and NoSQL databases commonly used with Spring Boot (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
**Security Testing**:
Basic knowledge of security vulnerabilities like API security testing.
**CI/CD Knowledge**:




Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar tools for integrating QA processes into CI/CD pipelines.
**Testing Methodologies**:
Strong understanding of manual and automated testing strategies
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and test-driven development (TDD) or behavior-driven development (BDD) practices.
**Automation Skills**:
Proficiency in creating automated test suites for backend services using Java.
**Monitoring and Logging Tools**:
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
Experience analyzing logs using tools like ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) or Splunk.
**Responsibilities**:
**Test Planning and Strategy**:
Define testing strategies, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
**Manual and Automated Testing**:
Execute manual and automated tests to ensure backend service functionality, performance, and security.
Validate API endpoints, input-output mappings, and data transformations.
Test service-to-service communication in a microservices environment.
**Collaboration with Teams**:
Work closely with developers to understand system architecture and implementation details.
Collaborate with product owners and business analysts to understand functional requirements.
Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning and retrospectives.
**Bug Identification and Reporting**:
Identify, log,



and track bugs in bug-tracking tools like Jira or Bugzilla.
Collaborate with developers to reproduce and resolve issues.
Retest and validate bug fixes in subsequent builds.
**Performance and Load Testing**:
Provide recommendations to optimize service performance based on test results.
**Monitoring and Troubleshooting**:
**Quality Metrics and Reporting**:
Define and track key quality metrics like test coverage, defect density, and execution progress.
Provide detailed test reports and release readiness assessments to stakeholders.
**Release Validation**:
Perform smoke and sanity testing on pre-production builds.
Validate backend service readiness for deployment in production environments.
**Continuous Improvement**:
Stay updated with the latest testing tools, technologies, and trends.
Drive improvements in QA processes, including automation, test case management, and defect tracking.
