Steelcase is seeking a dynamic and experienced **IT Security Supervisor** to manage and grow our Information Technology (IT) Security Operations Center (SOC) team in Monterrey, Mexico.
This role requires an individual with a strong technical background in defensive technologies as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
**What You Will Be Doing**
- Manage and develop a team of SOC analysts, enhancing their proficiency with security tools and protection technologies, to include formal certifications.
Drive continuous improvement as the SOC team grows.
- Perform people leadership duties, including performance management, coaching, professional development, recruitment, etc.
- Oversee the 24x7 monitoring of security alerts, to include alert tuning and ongoing development of documented and/or automated playbooks for incident response.
- Act as primary point-of-contact with MSSP's, including escalation of issues, alignment on playbooks, and management and assessment of services.
- Ensure technical issues with security tools are resolved promptly, minimizing disruption to critical business functions.
- Steelcase Acquisitions and Owned Entities: Manage the ingestion of alerts and coordinate development of SOC processes and playbooks.
- Coordinate threat intelligence and threat hunting activities.
- Oversee the vulnerability management program, ensuring critical vulnerabilities are clearly and consistently communicated to the relevant asset stewards.
Collaborate with IT Compliance to ensure mitigation or remediation.
- Provide leadership for the penetration testing team.
- Ensure the SOC team follows security and IT policies and best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Your Future Team**:
The SOC Team Supervisor will oversee a team responsible for monitoring alerts, responding to cyber incidents,
managing vulnerabilities and more.

The SOC team has grown rapidly in size and maturity and continues to take on expanded responsibilities.
The SOC team operates in a hybrid model in our Monterrey office and collaborates closely with cybersecurity peers in the United States.
**Who You Are**
**Required Skills and Competencies**
- Bachelor's Degree.
- 1 year of experience in a formal leadership position in security or infrastructure, managing direct reports.
- Minimum 3 years of technical experience in security.
- Excellent written and verbal English language skills.
**Preferred Skills and Competencies**
- Experience in cybersecurity operations (e.g. SIEM, SOAR, playbook development, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with stakeholders and team members.
- Strong project management, metric development, and reporting skills.
- Skill in vendor management, ability to negotiate effectively.
- Relevant certifications from SANS, ISC2, EH Council, etc.
- Experience with technology from some or all of the following vendors: Darktrace, Trend Micro, Fortinet, Recorded Futures, Qualys, Microsoft Azure/365.
