Summary
Accuray is seeking a detail-oriented DevOps engineer to join our R&D; team. In this position, you will play a key role in enabling, transforming, and refining how our engineering team operates with a focus on automating solutions, implementing continuous integration and deployment strategies, and owning all aspects of our infrastructure.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of engineers to support development and operational activities including, but not limited to, continuous integration & build systems, source control, installation & deployment, defect tracking systems, requirement tracking systems, test tracking systems, reporting and metrics support (Quality Management Systems), and virtualization & image management
- Utilize expertise in release engineering technologies to provide opportunities to reduce manual workflows and automate build procedures to improve operational efficiency.
- Proficient in developing interfaces and workflows between various systems/tools to support the software development lifecycle.
- Responsible for Configuration Management.
- Work collaboratively to deliver high quality technical solutions.
- Develop requirement, design, test plan, and test report documentation.
- Participate in project design reviews.
- Create and maintain custom tooling solutions when necessary using web and desktop development technologies
Qualifications:
a. Required
- 5+ years of experience as a DevOps/Release Engineering professional with a strong background in continuous integration and deployment technologies.
- Expertise utilizing automated remote install and update technologies
- Strong experience utilizing virtualization & container technologies
- Programming & scripting ability to support automation & integration with third party tools
- Demonstrated experience with managing complex source control repositories.
- Comprehensive Jenkins, Perforce, JIRA Administration experience.
- Strong understanding and experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems
- Work well in an Agile/Scrum environment, but also be responsive to urgent requests
- Self-motivated and willing to take responsibility for delivering projects on time with high quality
- Impeccable attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written skills to communicate professionally with representatives within and outside of Accuray
- Strong analytical skills to efficiently troubleshoot and determine root cause for a variety of problems
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
b. Preferred or Desired
- Experience supporting on-premise, hybrid, and cloud architectures
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Windows Domain Controller
- Experience with Cyber Security/Data Security
- Ability to rapidly learn unfamiliar APIs and SDKs
- Programming experience with C#, ASP.Net, PHP, HTTP, REST and OSLC
- Proficiency in developing CLI and GUI applications using .NET
- Familiarity with web server setup and configuration for both Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience troubleshooting and administrating IBM engineering
- Database Administration experience with SQL (MS or MySQL)
- Experience in Medical Device Industry
