Description
Sherwin-Williams, a integral leader in the paints and coatings industry, is looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst Jr to join our company.
The responsibilities of this role, includes but not limited to, opening new accounts, establishing appropriate account credit limits; sell/hold decisions; direct customer contact; and collection activities including third party placements.
Location: Mexico City
Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable portfolios and make credit decisions to support profitable sales growth while minimizing financial risk.
- Review and establish credit limits for new and existing customers within approved authority levels.
- Monitor customer accounts, assess credit risk, and take proactive actions to reduce potential losses.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders to resolve credit and payment issues.
- Execute collection activities, including customer outreach, dispute resolution, and coordination with third-party collection agencies.
- Analyze collection performance and recommend process improvements to enhance cash flow and working capital results.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process inefficiencies and promoting automation opportunities.
- Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve service levels and accounts receivable performance.
- Ensure compliance with company credit policies, procedures, and financial controls.
- Maintain accurate customer and financial records and support internal and external audit requests.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to address customer billing requirements and improve overall customer experience.
- Analyze financial data and account trends to provide insights that support business decisions and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
FORMAL EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent relevant experience
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required
- Experience in finance, accounting, or sales.
- Operational analysis and business communications.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and business problem-solving.
Preferred:
- Sherwin-Williams’ store, facility, or branch experience.
- Experience in Accounts Receivable.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of S-W systems – OneStream, Oracle, Oracle Cloud, OnBase, Access, etc.
- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices.

- The ability to identify inefficiencies in processes and procedures and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ability to communicate, verbally and written, ideas and decisions to a diverse stakeholder group in a clear, concise, and effective manner.
- Building and maintaining various types of financial models to aid, monitor and analyze business performance.
- Ability to understand, interpret, identify trends, and communicate financial data into meaningful insights.
- The ability to compare and reconcile financial records from multiple sources, and analyze the data to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including but not limited to, Excel and Word.
Preferred
- Ability to create financial models leveraging key drivers of financial performance, including the use of historical data to forecast future outcomes.
- Ability to motivate, coach, mentor, and sponsor others to accelerate career growth and development.
- Proficiency in US GAAP accounting principles such as revenue recognition, accrual accounting, and inventory valuation.
- Knowledge of current financial and cross-functional platforms to gain insights and drive innovation through scalable efficiencies.
