Join us as a Senior Specialist, Facility Services, where you'll optimize building performance, lead sustainability initiatives, and ensure our physical environments are safe, efficient, and aligned with our environmental commitments.
This role offers the chance to drive meaningful change across our sites.
The Senior Specialist, Facility Services — owns the physical infrastructure, safety, and regulatory standing of the manufacturing site.
This role manages the site's Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) service supplier end to end — service levels, scope, cost, and performance — while ensuring the plant operates in full compliance with Mexican federal, state, and municipal regulations.
The position requires strong vendor management skills, working knowledge of Mexican labor, safety, and environmental regulatory frameworks (STPS, NOMs, Protección Civil, SEMARNAT/PROFEPA, CFE, CONAGUA), and the ability to keep a high-throughput HVAC manufacturing environment safe, compliant, and running.
The manager partners with plant leadership, EHS, manufacturing, and the IFM supplier's account team to deliver a reliable, compliant, and cost-effective facility.
What will you do?
IFM Supplier Management Own the day-to-day relationship with the site's Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) supplier, including contract scope, SLAs, KPIs, and governance cadence.
Review and approve IFM service delivery across hard services (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, utilities) and soft services (cleaning, grounds, security, waste, pest control).
Track IFM performance against agreed metrics, run monthly/quarterly business reviews, and drive corrective action plans for service gaps.
Manage IFM budget, invoicing, variable work orders, and capital vs. operating expense classification.
Lead contract renewals, scope changes, and re-bids in coordination with procurement and legal.
Facility Operations & Infrastructure Ensure reliable operation of plant utilities and building systems supporting HVAC manufacturing (electrical distribution, compressed air, process cooling, ventilation, fire protection).
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for facility infrastructure, coordinated through the IFM supplier.
Manage facility capital projects — expansions, equipment installs, layout changes — from scope through commissioning.
Maintain business continuity plans for critical facility systems and utilities.
Regulatory Compliance & EHS (Mexico) Ensure the site maintains compliance with applicable Normas Oficiales Mexicanas (NOMs) covering electrical installations, fire protection, industrial safety, and workplace conditions (e.g., NOM--STPS, NOM--STPS, NOM--STPS).
Maintain Protección Civil (Civil Protection) programs, permits, and inspection readiness, including internal civil protection committees and emergency response plans.
Manage environmental compliance and permitting with SEMARNAT/PROFEPA (waste handling, emissions, wastewater) and coordinate water and energy compliance with CONAGUA and CFE.
Own facility-related audit readiness for STPS labor inspections, insurance carrier audits, and corporate EHS/ISO audits (ISO , ISO ).
Keep permits, licenses, and regulatory documentation current, and track evolving federal, state, and municipal requirements affecting the plant.
Sustainability & Continuous Improvement Support energy management, water efficiency, and waste reduction initiatives at the site.
Identify and lead continuous improvement projects to optimize facility cost, uptime, and service level.
Contribute facility data and progress to corporate sustainability and ESG reporting.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with plant leadership and manufacturing to align facility priorities with production schedules and uptime needs.
Work with EHS and HR on workplace safety programs, incident investigation, and STPS-related matters.
Coordinate with corporate real estate, procurement, and general facilities teams on standards, budgets, and supplier strategy.
