We are seeking a dynamic and driven Wedding Sales Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial to our business, as you will be the first point of contact for couples looking to plan their destination weddings. The idóneo candidate will have a strong background in sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for the travel and wedding industries.
You will be responsible for guiding clients to find the ideal wedding location based on their budget, their vision and their group. You will be required to negotiate group rates, ensure you are providing the clients with the best options and then close the room block. Relationships are key as you will need solid communication with the clients, our tour operator partners and our hotel suppliers.
Requirements
Client Consultation: Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients to understand their wedding vision, preferences, and budget.
Provide detailed information on available destinations, resorts, and wedding packages.
Proposal Development: Create personalized wedding proposals that align with the client's desires, including venue options, package details, and pricing. Present and explain proposals to clients, addressing any questions or concerns.
Client Relationship Management:Build and maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the planning process, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing updates on their wedding planning status.
Vendor Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with our tour operator partners and vendors through networking events and day-to-day contact.
Negotiation & Booking: Negotiate with resorts, vendors,
and service providers to secure the best possible deals for clients. Coordinate and finalize bookings for wedding venues, accommodation, and other essential services.
Sales Outreach: Generate leads through various channels (Facebook groups), including online inquiries, referrals, and networking events. Follow up with potential clients to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings.
Market Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in destination weddings, including new resorts, packages, and special offers. Analyze market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for sales growth.
CRM Management: Use Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to track client interactions, manage leads, and monitor sales pipelines.
Ensure all client information is accurately recorded and easily accessible.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop targeted sales campaigns and promotional materials.
Coordinate with the operations team to ensure all aspects of the wedding are organized and executed flawlessly.
Contract Negotiation: Elaborate room block contracts once the sales close and provide clients with detailed explanations.
Post-Sales Support: Offer ongoing support to clients after the booking, assisting with any changes or additional requests.
Gather client feedback after the wedding to improve service offerings and customer satisfaction.
Performance Reporting: Track and report on sales performance, including conversion rates, revenue, and client satisfaction metrics.
Identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to achieve sales targets.
Training & Development: Participate in regular training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales techniques.
Stay informed about new resorts, wedding packages, and travel regulations.
Requirements:
Experience: 3+ years of experience in a sales role, preferably within the travel or wedding industry.
Skills:
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in CRM software and sales tracking tools.
Ability to manage multiple clients and tasks simultaneously.
Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with online communication tools and platforms, as well as basic understanding of wedding planning logistics.
Passion for Travel: A genuine interest in destination weddings and the travel industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the travel or wedding industry.
Familiarity with the Mexico and Caribbean regions.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
