**Discovery Specialist - Family Law (On-Site | Guadalajara, Mexico)**The **Discovery Specialist** plays a crucial role in the **pre-trial phase of family law cases**, ensuring that all required **financial disclosures and legal documentation** are accurately collected, organized, and communicated to clients.This is an **on-site position located in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico**.
This role is idóneo for professionals with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of **spoken and written English**, as daily communication with U.S.based attorneys and clients is required.
**Job Location****On-site - Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico**:- (This is not a remote or hybrid position.)_**Compensation****Salary based on English level and experience****Key Responsibilities1.Client Introduction & Education**- Serve as the primary **Discovery Specialist** for assigned family law cases.
- Educate clients on the **family law discovery process**, emphasizing the importance of accurate and timely financial disclosures.
- Explain mandatory deadlines, including the **45-day financial disclosure requirement after service**.
**2.Initial Discovery Meeting**- Conduct in-person or virtual discovery meetings with clients.
- Identify the type of family law case and specific client needs.
- Review documents thoroughly with clients, using printed copies when necessary.
- Clearly outline all **required financial documents and information**.
**3.Financial Document Collection & Organization**- Collect, review,



and organize:- Financial Affidavit (FA)- Child Custody & Maintenance Documents (CCMD)- Supporting financial documentation- Ensure all information is complete, accurate, and properly documented.
**4.Follow-Up Discovery Meetings**- Schedule and conduct follow-up meetings ****** minutes).
- Review missing or incomplete documentation.
- Update:- Financial Affidavit (FA)- Child Custody & Maintenance Document (CCMD)**5.Client Communication & Case Coordination**- Maintain clear, professional, and consistent communication with clients.
- Send updated discovery documents after each meeting.
- Coordinate closely with attorneys and legal staff to ensure compliance and deadlines are met.
**6.Client Support & Training**- Provide clear explanations of legal forms and financial requirements.
- Guide clients through their responsibilities and timelines.
- Share training materials, including instructional videos, to ensure accurate completion.
**7.Process Optimization**- Identify opportunities to improve internal discovery workflows.
- Contribute to improving client experience and operational efficiency.
- Stay current on family law discovery procedures and updates.
**Required Skills & Qualifications**- Advanced or conversational **English proficiency** (spoken and written).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent client communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work **on-site in Guadalajara**.
- Experience in legal, administrative, or client-facing roles is a plus (family law preferred but not required).
