**DESCRIPTION**:The Shift Manager is operations leadership position responsible for managing shift operations at a delivery station with a primary focus on safety and productivity.This role leads teams of Associates to achieve operational targets while maintaining the highest safety standards.This position requires working rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.During Peak Events (High Season), this role is required to work on weekends and holidays, including night shifts to ensure the execution of plans.Key job responsibilitiesSafety Leadership (Primary Focus)Champion workplace safety as the #1 priority in all decisionsEnsure 100% compliance with WHS protocols and conduct daily safety auditsInvestigate incidents immediately and implement corrective actionsLead by example in following safety procedures and wearing required PPEProductivity Management (Primary Focus)Drive achievement of key metrics.Supervise daily operations (inbound, sort, dispatch) during night shiftsManage delivery cycles (Same Day, Late Same Day, Cycle 2).




Monitor real-time productivity and make immediate adjustments to meet targetsBalance productivity goals with safety requirements - never compromise safety for speedOperational ManagementCoordinate with DSPs to guarantee route capacity and qualityManage labor allocation to optimize productivity while maintaining safe staffingEnsure quality standards in sort and load processesRespond to operational challenges during night shift operationsPeople LeadershipLead a team of ***** Associates during assigned shiftProvide daily coaching on safe work practices and productivity improvementDeliver real-time feedback and create a positive, safety-first environmentParticipate in onboarding of new AAsContinuous Improvement & CollaborationAnalyze daily safety and productivity data to identify improvement opportunitiesImplement initiatives to reduce safety incidents and increase throughputSupport new operations launches (Grey Kangaroo, new coverage areas)Collaborate with cross-functional teams.Report results and escalations to Station Manager**- BASIC QUALIFICATIONS**:- High school diploma- Work a rotating, adaptable schedule, including nights, overnights, weekends and holidays.Able to work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required- 1+ years of leadership experience in a retail, distribution or similar environment experience- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach- Speak, write, and read fluently in Spanish**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**:- Speak, write, and read fluently in English
