The Product Control Analyst 2 is an intermediate level position responsible for ensuring the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the bank's books and records in coordination with the Finance team. The overall objective of this role is to control and support data integrity and general ledger reconciliation, profit attribution and new activity analysis, valuation control and product P&L; and balance sheet reporting.
**Responsibilities**:
- Monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data
- Identify process gaps and control issues
- Escalate anomalies and issues in an efficient and timely manner
- Interpret data, identify inconsistencies through research and recommend solutions based on analysis
- Develop knowledge of how team interacts with others to accomplish Finance goals
- Develop basic knowledge of industry practices and standards
- Exchange complex information succinctly and with discretion
**Qualifications**:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
**Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
This role will cover Profit and Loss reporting and analysis of Seguros Mexico, as well as the CCAR process for Mexico, FAS 167 ,Volcker Qualifying Exception rule support for Local Markets Treasury as well as the back up for FAS 133/ASC815 hedges. It will require strong communication skills and teamwork across multiple locations and departments.
**Responsibilities**:
- Elaborate Seguros P&L; commentary linking results with market movements
- Reconcile MTD daily P&L; figures from product control report to the general ledger and management reports
- Review the final Balance and P&L; in Management System and reconcile it with PCU System
- Analysis and explanation of principal variation of the Balance.
- Analysis and elaborate the P&L; distribution in the management Systems
- Prepare CCAR reporting for Banamex bank, LAIB and other entities with AFS portfolios
- Prepare controls and attestations related to FAS 167 Special Purpose entities
- Back up for specialized Accounting processes
- Participate in different projects to automatize the feed or Management and PCU systems.
**Requirements**:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience across Product Control and Finance processes
- A proven track record of working in teams
- A control focused mind-set with strong process improvement capabilities
- Knowledge in Debt securities, IR and FX Derivatives
- For this position it is required to solve problems that require analysis, diagnosis and interpretation in order to develop alternative solutions.
- 2-3 years of experience in Financial Industry
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, engineering, math, finance or economics.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment;
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
- Motivated, organized, and team oriented
- Control focused-mindset
- Understand balance sheet management concepts
- Advanced level of English desired
