**_ Responsibilities_**
- Oversee the production/manufacturing & SPR related activities to achieve operational efficiencies in a fast growing environment
- Create and lead an Operations team (including personal development plans, setting KPI's, etc.)
- Lead and implement operational improvement strategies for productivity, quality, safety, 5S, cost savings and training.
- Monitor work to meet unforeseen circumstances, control workflow to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools and equipment.
- Collaborate with other functional areas to prevent and resolve problems and improve manufacturing processes.
- Collect agronomic data in production trials and pilot fields to determine viability of hybrid production.
- Test new seed treatments and new technologies and their efficacy in hybrid production.
- Provide research updates to local and integral management.
- Oversee the conditioning and packing of Parent and Pilot Seed at Processing Plan.
- Prep seed for planting in Hybrid Production, Parent Production, Pilot Production, and SPR Trials




- As needed support the operations of Hereford Plant and Field Production team in all aspects of day to day operations
- Travel as needed to SPR trials & Production Fields in other regions domestically and internationally
**_Requirements and skills_**
- Minimum a diploma or bachelor’s degree in agronomy or +8 years’ experience in seed production
- 5+ years Operations/Manufacturing experience
- Fluent in English & Spanish
- Exceptional communication and writing skills in English & Spanish
- Results focused with ability to work on own initiative.
- Strong teamwork development capability (flexibility to work across the areas and positively influence others)
- Effective and timely decision making
- Solid computer skills, including MS Office.
- Well-organized and detail oriented
- Able to multitask and work cooperatively with other team members.
- Availability to travel frequently.
