**Description**
The Analyst Car Accounting will ensure accurate and timely administration of car hire functions including payments, receipts, claims and reclaims, while analyzing car hire trends, generating KPIs, performing audits, executing on internal controls and supporting month-end close.LU & CCO for the consist preparation for the trains assignation in accordance with the TSP.
**Accountabilities**
- Provides trend and variance analysis for car hire payments and receipts
- Ensures accurate and timely administration of car hire functions including payments, receipts, claims and reclaims via Greenbrier Enable/Ensure interface.
- Ensure timely escalation & resolution of unresolved payment, claims and reclaims, including leading collaborative sessions with other roads and internal stakeholders to resolve
- Performs audits to ensure payment, receipt, claim and reclaim accuracy
- Execute month-end preparation, including variance analysis, journal entries, match-and-clear, and Blackline preparation.
- Provide detailed and accurate reporting, with value-added analysis, to Senior Leadership
- Execute on car hire controls, including performing reviews, generating supporting documentation, and drawing conclusions;




- Lead process improvement and automation
- Lead process documentation creation and maintenance
- Provides assistance to the Manager, Car Accounting as required

**Qualifications Required**
- Bachelor in finance or business-related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of equivalent or relevant experience would be considered an asset.
- Profiency English.
- Strong excel knowledge.
