We are looking for a **The Body Designer & Release Engineer (clousures).**
**General activities**:
**The Body D&R; Engineer **will be responsible for the engineering, design, development, timing and production release for some of the following functions**:Body closure sheet metal and hinging / Fascia/bumper / Underbody shield and Wheel liners / Cladding & flares.**Responsibilities will include interface and coordinating the packaging with product design office, vehicle development, other Exterior and Body Engineering teams, all adjacent departments (electromechanical, electrical, lighting, trim); and suppliers to design, develop and release these components/systems. The Engineer will provide feasibility input for development of designs from Product Design Office (PDO) concepts, sketches, and clay models. Other responsibilities will include quality improvements, weight reduction, cost reduction and other efficiency improvement initiatives including communicating technical product status to management.To develop functional objectives, build objectives, DVP&R; / DFMEA & manage the production supplier to meet all requirements. **Also responsible of the release of completed geometry using NX Teamcenter CAD tools.**
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or equivalent




- 3-4 yrs of engineering automotive component experience designing and developing on the following**:Closures Systems.**:
- Knowledge and experience with composites and composite production processes **Release experience in both Mechanical and electrical components**:
- Working knowledge of designing for EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) and ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) design/prevention Prior exposure to automotive lighting specifications and standards an asset; electronics specifications.
- Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) and/or Reactive Green/Black Belt
- **Also responsible of the release of completed geometry using NX Teamcenter CAD tools.**:
- **Advanced English**
- BIW in-plant launch experience **Experience designing and developing injection molding, painting, and decorating plastic Class A components** CAE/Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) knowledge **Experience leading technical teams successfully across varied levels of management and between OEM and supply base**:
- Experience regularly presenting to upper management for issue resolution decisions Knowledge or experience of CAN/LIN bus and circuit analysis
- Excellent MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
- CATIA V5 knowledge is a plus




- Knowledge of Casting and Injection Molding processes is a plus
- Self-directed, hands-in, ownership, sense of urgency, action oriented, achiever, leadership.
- Must be able to manage multiple complex projects and responsabilities simultaneously, while being mind of deadlines.
- Oriented to do benchmarking and to implement optimization processes and methodologies **Strong communications skills (written and verbal) and ability to convey technical information for understanding to various audiences (management/non-technical)** Potential to direct, teach, lead and inspire
- Must be task oriented, detail oriented, and Make Sound Decisions **Highly motivated individual with excellent communication, problem solving, organizational skills, excellent relationship building skills with the ability to work in a cross functional team environment at all levels.**:
- Ability to lead colleagues from engineering, planning, and suppliers to achieve goals
- Ability to interface professionally with key customers, cross
- functional teams and all levels of personnel management.
