Descripción y detalle de las actividades
Provides daily support to production on Manufacturing Engineering-related matters, ensuring cost reductions, product and process improvements, and operational controls. Responsibilities include plant layout optimization, workflow analysis, equipment justification and procurement, tooling requirements, safety measures, and project management. The role also involves manufacturing process development, labor standards implementation, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
**Major Accountabilities**
Manage and participate in continuous improvement projects.
Contribute to the development and implementation of new products and modifications to existing production processes.
**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**
Establish and maintain labor standards and manufacturing costs for new and existing products/processes.
Collect and analyze data, assess quality trends, conduct reliability assessments, and develop process capability studies, statistical testing, and sampling programs.
Justify, procure, and oversee the installation of factory and facility equipment.
Lead or mentor cross-functional projects (NPI, Foam, Refrigeration, Advanced Engineering, and
special projects related to manufacturing).
Initiate and implement major process designs, line layouts, product changes, tooling, and fixture designs to
enhance quality, safety, and productivity.
Guide and implement new quality and operational excellence (OPEX) systems.
Experiência y requisitos
**Required Field Experience**
Passivation, Chromating, Nitriding, Electropolish (or other equivalent)
**Key Environmental Tasks and Responsibilities**
Ensure compliance with ISO 14001:2015 standards.
Maintain a workplace free of contaminants and minimize emissions.
Reduce or eliminate pollutants in production processes.
**Specialized Skills,**
Experience, and Tools Certification or experience in LEAN manufacturing and/or Six Sigma.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including metal fabrication, welding, fastening, foaming, and passivation.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with strong attention to detail.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact at all organizational levels.
Proficiency in planning and executing multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to create and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Experience with measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, plug gauges, and tape measures.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook), SolidWorks, and AutoCAD.
Experience in documenting processes and standard work instructions.
Support production line transfers and startups by defining BOMs, SOPs, workflows, and process routes for new product introductions.
Lead cost-saving initiatives and improvement projects (e.g., PCTOS, Kaizen).
Analyze and balance production line capacity using time studies and demand projection tools to ensure production plan compliance.
Document engineering tests, validation protocols, and reports.
Green Belt certification preferred.
**Additional Details**
Travel Requirement: 20%
Be able to travel within the USA.
