**Primary Purpose of the Position**:
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainable practices within the manufacturing plant. This role focuses on managing waste, emissions, and resource consumption while driving continuous improvement in environmental performance. The position requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to minimize the plant’s environmental impact and support corporate sustainability goals.
**Principle Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Develop and implement EHS Policy and procedures in compliance with integral and local regulations.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with environmental permits and reporting requirements.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
- Manage waste disposal, recycling programs, and hazardous materials handling.
- Develop and oversee water and energy conservation initiatives.
- Implement air quality and emission control measures to reduce pollution.




- Conduct environmental audits and inspections to ensure adherence to regulations.
- Lead employee training on environmental best practices and compliance.
- Manage emergency response plans for environmental incidents (near miss, minor and major), such as spills or leaks.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies and maintain positive relationships with authorities.
- Track and report environmental performance metrics to corporate leadership.
- Identify and implement sustainability initiatives.
- Develop, train and lead the personnel under his or her charge.
**Education**:
Engineering degree (Environmental Engineer preferred)
**Experience**:
- 4-6 years in Environmental Coordination positions in Mexico
**Knowledge**:
- Intermediate English level (minimum)
- Leadership
- Environmental Laws and Regulations (Global and Local)
- ISO:14001
- Waste Management and Pollution Control
- Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis
