SCOPE OF LEADERSHIP ROLE
Position Summary: Analyzes MRO ( specifically ) system and determines orders to be placed according to schedule. Ensures material availability to meet internal customer expectations. May support Commodity Planner to effectively handle issues that are elevated. Elevates issues to Direct Manager when applicable.
Develops and maintains strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials. Investigates potential for delays and/or quality issues, identifies alternative (approved) plans and elevates when any sourced item will not arrive on time to support the schedule. Leads and drives special projects. Manages inventory levels to ensure inventory goals are met. Develops strategies to increase inventory turns and align according to production rate. Identifies, engages, and drives resolution with internal functions as needed to meet customer/supplier expectations with Sourcing and Logistics support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow up on the open PO report.
- Develop a robust savings and negotiation plan.
- Actively participate in supplier selection.
- Request quotes from different suppliers to optimize costs and delivery times.
- Prepare and track purchase orders for raw materials, equipment, and necessary items for the production, quality, maintenance, warehouse, and shipping departments.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, normative,



and customer requirements in the purchase orders for products and services.
- Work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager to manage supplier quality.
- Maintain control of purchase orders from generation to receipt.
- Notify affected departments of any issues affecting order fulfillment dates.
- Evaluate assigned suppliers.
- Supervise the correct entry of materials into the system.
- Monitor the proper functioning of the system.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to do tactical reporting, data mining, and critical analysis.
- MS Office suite Power User (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
- Ability to utilize ERP/MRP systems (SAP Oracle Preferred)
- Digital media management.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.
- 5+ years.
- Ability to develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Proactive, Self-motivated, Results Oriented.
- Travel: No
- Language: English written and spoken + 50%
