Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Automation Engineer (Programming) located in Guadalajara, North Campus.
What a typical day looks like:
- Design, develop, and implement automation systems for industrial processes. Knowledge of metal fabrication processes (Punching, Bending, Assembly, etc.) is desirable.
- Program and configure programmable logic controllers (PLC), robots.
- Integrate, test, and debug automation systems with existing equipment and processes.
- Establish technical manuals, drawings, models, training documentation, preventative maintenance plans, and troubleshooting guides for automated equipment and automated processes.
- Ensure the uptime of machines through regular preventive maintenance and breakdown maintenance.
- Should be willing to learn & enhance the skills. in all types of Automation equipment.
- Should be able to give feedback to improve the design of the process and equipment.
- Directs daily department activities to maximize equipment utilization and support production needs
- Coordinates maintenance activities with other functional groups, such as engineering and operations,



to ensure the efficient operation of the departmental function.
- Collaborates and offers input to planning, building, and maintaining the Automation framework and associated processes for new products.
- Identifies and drives change to ensure the automation effectiveness of existing processes.
- Demonstrates and thorough understanding of customer requirements and offers suggestions and ideas on how best to deliver automation solutions.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in a similar position.
- Advanced English communication skills.
- Experience programming PLCs.
- Knowledge of sensors and vision systems programming.
- Experience and knowledge in mechanical tolerances for equipment design.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and electrical diagrams2D, 3D reading.
- Experience in industrial, sheet metal, and design to be fabrication by mechanical systems. (e.g., material selection, hardening treatments, tolerances establishment, etc.)
- Experience dealing with suppliers and new technologies.
- Availability to travel.
