**Role Objective**
We are a dynamic immigration law firm expanding our services to include a specialized magazine publication. We're seeking a talented bilingual professional to join our team as a Editor/Graphic Designer to help launch and maintain our new publication and our training/educational assets focused on immigration law, policy, and community stories
**Responsibilities**
**Editorial**:
- Develop and execute editorial calendar for monthly magazine publication
- Research, write, and edit articles on immigration law, policy updates, and community stories
- Coordinate with legal team to ensure accuracy of legal content
- Manage content workflow from conception to publication
- Conduct interviews with clients, legal experts, and community members
- Proofread and fact-check all content before publication
- Develop story ideas that resonate with our target audience
- Research, write, and edit training/education assets
**Graphic Design**:
- Design magazine layout and visual identity
- Create engaging graphics, infographics, and visual elements
- Develop marketing materials and promotional content
- Ensure brand consistency across all visual communications




- Design web graphics for digital publication
- Create social media assets to promote magazine content
- Manage photo selection and basic photo editing
**Project Management**:
- Coordinate with internal teams including legal staff and marketing
- Manage publication timelines and deadlines
- Communicate progress and updates to stakeholders
- Handle vendor relationships (printing, distribution if applicable)
**General**:
- Track article readership and engagement metrics
- Perform other duties to support learning and education as a cross-trained team member
**Requirements**:
- ** Education & Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in magazine editing or publishing
- 3+ years of professional graphic design experience
- Portfolio demonstrating both editorial and design capabilities
**Technical Skills**
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Suite, AI tools, and Canva
- Experience with content management systems
- Basic understanding of print production processes
- Familiarity with digital publishing platforms
- Social media management experience
**Language & Communication**
- Native or near-native fluency in Spanish
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong interviewing and writing abilities in both Spanish and English
- Cultural sensitivity and understanding of immigration communities
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience in legal publishing or immigration-related content
- Understanding of U.S. and Mexican immigration processes
- Experience with bilingual content creation
- Knowledge of current immigration policy and legislation
- Previous freelance/contractor experience

**Compensation**
- $20,000-22,000 MXN (monthly)
