**The Position**
The Student Finance Advisor (SFA) is responsible for all aspects of student accounts. The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, providing students with tuition, account balance, Financial Aid, and scholarship information. The SFA advises in-school and out-of-school students on the University payment plans and conducts outreach to ensure that students are making timely payments in accordance with their payment agreements with the University. The SFA will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of tuition payments, balances, and scholarship awards.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Student Assistance: Serve as the primary point of contact for students seeking financial assistance and guidance, addressing their queries and providing support throughout the process.
- Financial Evaluation: Review and assess student accounts, collaborating with the Financial Aid Office to meet student financial needs effectively.




- Communication: Communicate with students to guide them through the payment process, offering explanations on financial options and requirements.
- Outreach and Follow-up: Coordinate outreach to students with overdue accounts, communicating consequences and initiating corrective actions as needed.
- Customer Service: Deliver quality customer service to all stakeholders, ensuring professionalism and cooperation with students, faculty, staff, and others.
- Compliance and Confidentiality: Maintain knowledge of legal collection guidelines and student privacy regulations, handling confidential documents appropriately.
- Administrative Support: Assist with handling time-sensitive requests, preparing correspondence, and maintaining accurate records in the student information system.
- Professionalism: Meet attendance expectations, adhere to university values, and support institutional finance objectives as assigned.
- Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to remain updated on financial aid best practices, trends, and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
**The minimum requirements**:
- Bachelor's Degree (preferable in a related field).
- Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations related to higher education, including Financial Aid regulations and processes, billing and payment processes, and refund policies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students and families, and to communicate with colleagues and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- A commitment to providing exceptional student service and to meeting the needs of a diverse student population.
Pay: From $20,500.00 per month
