Dow has an opportunity for a Senior TS&D; Specialist based in Querétaro (MEX).
In this role, you will require understanding of key business drivers for your discipline and function. You will need to be able to expand conceptual and working knowledge related to your discipline or functional area. You are expected to provide informal guidance to new team members and be able to explain complex information to others.
It is your responsibility to use technical experience, established practices, and personal judgement to analyze and resolve straightforward problems. Your performance impacts the quality of your own work and your team’s work and requires that you work within established guidelines and policies.
**Responsibilities**:- Convinces others about differentiated technical solutions- Articulates synergies between technologies to maximize value effectively and understands how business value is created for Dow and the customer- Applies and uses project methodologies in a manner that is considered exemplary.- Participates in the development and implementation of IC strategy for a business or platform- Fully participates in the development of technology maps for projects and leads area of IP development-
- Coaches others in the use of the scientific method and project methodologies and how different tools can be applied to projects- Delivers presentations or reports that distill complex ideas into clear results and proposals; communicates appropriately to influence internal and external audiences- Communicates and appropriately documents work in the form of internal reports/ROC's/presentations, technology manuals, knowledge management resources, external reports, and patents when appropriate- Serves as principal author on papers and presentations and presents at industry conferences
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or science related field required.- Masters degree or PhD preferred.- 5 years experience in elastomers formulations and process, such as EPDM's, Nitriles, Silicones, etc.- English advanced.- Availability to travel 40% of the time.
