**Mid-Level Accountant**:

**About the Role**:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Mid-Level Accountant with bookkeeping experience to manage accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and support day-to-day financial processes. This role combines transaction management, reconciliations, reporting, and problem-solving while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Transaction Management & Bookkeeping**
- Review, categorize, and reconcile financial transactions
- Handle complex or unusual transactions requiring manual review (~20% of volume)
- Ensure accurate coding and compliance with accounting standards
- Maintain accurate books for assigned portfolios
- Reconcile monthly books and general ledger accounts
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
**2. Financial Reporting & Analysis**
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and summaries
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Flag and escalate any accounting issues or anomalies
**3. Customer & Internal Communication**
- Respond to internal or external accounting-related inquiries




- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve transaction or reporting questions
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting or bookkeeping staff, if applicable
**4. Quality Assurance & Compliance**
- Review work for accuracy and adherence to accounting standards
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Maintain organized records and proper documentation for audits
**Qualifications**:
- Prior mid-level accounting experience (typically 2-5 years)
- Bookkeeping experience is required
- High English fluency, both written and verbal
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger processes
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close
- Familiarity with accounting software and SaaS platforms
- Customer service or client-facing experience is a plus
- Experience with Big 4 accounting firms (KPMG, Deloitte, EY, PwC) is a plus
**Tools & Software**:
- QuickBooks or other accounting/financial software
- Familiarity with financial reporting tools and SaaS platforms
- Experience with support/ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk) is a plus
