**Job Summary**:
- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a _**_Component Engineer II_**_ _**_located in _**_Aguascalientes_**_._ _
- Reporting to the Commodity Manager of the site, this role involves a high sense of urgency to complete all the localization and component engineering processes to allow to the production line to start or continue the production without impacts in the compromises with the customers and bring to the company an extra MM._
**What a typical day looks like**:
- _Facilitate and identify opportunities for the substitution to provide cost reduction, reliability and quality improvement, and manage commodities in identifying opportunities to source with Flex preferred suppliers (PSL)._
- _Provide technical backup for alternate sourcing recommendations, such as identifying relevant specification differences and board design changes required and providing the interface with the supplier’s design team._
- _Collaborate with component suppliers, CFTs of the organization and Customers._




- _Participate in the rapid development of industry environmental compliance requirements (ROHS/WEEE) at the up-stream supply chain management to ensure full compliance to Flex/Customer implementation requirement such as supply chain compliance with integral legislative requirements pertaining to lead elimination and reduction of hazardous substances in electronics products._
- _Provide technical support to Flex Design Centers and different market segments as needed to resolve manufacturing problems of moderate scope related to component performance, component handling requirement & process, or internal/customer issues. _
- _Maintain component data management system including qualification _records/results/documentation._ _
**The experience we’re looking to add to our team**:
- _ Engineering Degree._
- _ Experience with supplier’s quotations._
- _ Experience with Commodity Manufacturing Processes._
- _ Experience with GD&T.;_
- _ Experience with PPAP._
- _ Experience in Project Management._
- _ B2/C1 English level._
