We are seeking an **HR & People Operations Lead** to support and strengthen our growing nonprofit organization. This role is adecuado for a highly organized, autonomous HR generalist with strong operational skills, strategic thinking, and advanced technological proficiency.
You will be responsible for building and maintaining people systems that ensure **compliance, consistency, and employee support**, within a mission-driven organization focused on **social justice and immigrant communities**.
**Key ResponsibilitiesHR Compliance & Policies**
- Maintain employee handbooks, HR policies, and personnel documentation
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes
- Support basic labor compliance for Mexico
- and California-based operations
**Employee Relations**
- Serve as a point of contact for managers and staff regarding workplace matters
- Address employee concerns and support conflict resolution and mediation
**Performance Management**
- Design and implement clear, fair, and consistent performance evaluation systems
**Recruitment & Hiring (Coordination)**
- Coordinate hiring processes and maintain ATS/HRIS systems
**HR Systems & Operations**
- Implement HR tools, workflows, and process automations
- Independently manage multiple HR and operational processes
**Qualifications**




- Minimum **2 years of experience in Human Resources**, preferably in a generalist or operations-focused role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently
- Advanced proficiency with digital tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, AI tools such as ChatGPT)
- Excellent time management and self-direction skills
- Advanced English (spoken and written)
**Preferred Experience**
- Basic knowledge of payroll processes and labor law in Mexico
- Familiarity with TriNet, Employer of Record (EOR) models, and general California labor law concepts

**Compensation**
- **Starting salary**: MXN $24,000 gross per month
