Internship duration: 6 months
Location: Mexico, Colombia, Perú, Ecuador
**CURRENT OPPORTUNITY**:
We are looking for a talented individual to work with us in the GGGI's Green Investment Services (GIS) unit in Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Office (LAC RO). The intern will provide technical, research and communications support to the LAC RO GIS team to help advance GGGI’s green investment work in LAC. The intern will support the preparation of concise research products, investment-facing materials,technical inputs, investment pipeline management support, presentations, and knowledge-sharing outputs for internal and external audiences.
The assignment will include the following but not limited to:
- Conduct desk research on sustainable finance, green investment instruments, climate finance, policy frameworks, donor priorities, market trends and regional investment opportunities.
- Analyze collected information and prepare concise summaries, briefs, trackers and evidence notes to inform GGGI’s investment targets and regional engagement in LAC.
- Support the development of funding proposals, concept notes, investor-facing materials, investment teasers, pitch decks and related documentation for donors, investors and partners.
- Prepare professional PowerPoint presentations, briefing notes, talking points and short concept notes as requested by senior team members.




- Contribute to the organisation and coordination of capacity-building workshops, webinars, missions and in-person events with LAC country teams, external partners and regional stakeholders.
- Support communications, marketing and knowledge materials that document GGGI’s experience, track record, lessons learned and investment pipeline work.
- Participate in project-related meetings and calls, and prepare agendas, minutes, action trackers and supporting materials.
- Provide administrative and coordination support related to procurement, scheduling, document management and internal knowledge-sharing, as required.
By the end of the internship, the intern should have strengthened their understanding and practical skills in:
- Green investment, sustainable finance and climate finance approaches in the region
- Donor and investor documentation, including concept notes, proposals, investment teasers and pitch decks.
- The role of climate policy, Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), sustainable development policy and public/private finance in advancing green growth.
- Professional research, synthesis, stakeholder coordination, meeting documentation and event organization
- Bilingual communication for technical, institutional and external audiences
**ELIGIBILITY**:
- Be enrolled in a Bachelor’s (final year), master’s or PhD program prior to internship assignment, or a recent graduate within the last 12 months.




- Be engaged or recently engaged in academic study in a field directly related to sustainable finance, finance, banking and climate change.
- Have excellent written and spoken English and Spanish
- Demonstrate strong communication, organization, research and writing skills.
**QUALIFICATION**:
- Familiarity with Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), sustainable finance instruments, including thematic bonds, blended finance mechanisms and basic banking, investment or project finance concepts.
- Understanding of climate-resilient and nature-positive infrastructure, the project finance cycle and project structuring would be considered an advantage.
- Ability to conduct structured desk research, critically assess information, and produce clear, concise written summaries for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Interest in and experience using AI tools, as well as digital collaboration, facilitation and design platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Data analysis, visualisation and/or dashboard development skills would be considered an asset.
- Organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines and work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
- Attention to detail, professionalism and ability to handle information with discretion.
**SELECTION PROCESS**:

**TEMRS AND CONDITIONS**:
Duration: The internship program is for at least three months and up to six months. Once selected, interns must begin your internship either prior to or within 12 months of graduation.
