Under general supervision and reporting to the Director of Operations, as a Production Supervisor you will serve as a vital link between Prime Aerospace customers and their supplier base.
Relying on their supply chain management expertise, assess suppliers' performance, formulate root cause and corrective action plans to address systemic issues impacting performance, evaluate suppliers' manufacturing processes for quality assurance, explore potential process improvements with suppliers, and gauge suppliers' capabilities to support new customer products and programs.
Proactively work with suppliers and customers to implement business process improvement measures.Job ResponsibilitiesReview process and flow of products through the suppliers manufacturing shop from the raw material phase through manufacturing, quality, shipping, and delivery to the customerIdentify systemic causes for poor delivery/quality performance and develop supplier improvement plans.
Facilitate and conduct Supplier Health Assessments, Capacity Analysis, and Rate ReadinessDrive actions to mitigate potential delivery delays by utilizing industry-standard problem-solving techniques, identifying risks, performing root cause analysis, and development of recovery plans to bring shipments back in-line with customer requirementsProvide expert assessments and advice to suppliers and customers on suppliers' delivery performance, quality assurance, process improvements, and expansion capabilitiesCreate daily status reports and communicate actions and plans to all stakeholders with our customers, prime aerospace manufacturers, throughout the dayPrepare presentations and lead meetingsUndertake special projects as requiredDevelop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performanceCommunicate efficiently and effectively with all stakeholders to ensure timely and effective responsiveness to abnormalitiesEnsure effective employee relations, coaching, and employment developmentCreate a positive culture focused on metrics and progressing business unit forward through group participation and ownership of project pipeline and business unit as a wholeResponsible for putting safety firstFacilitate quality and productivity to achieve positive results in all areasDevelop and implement corrective actions where necessaryUnderstand and communicate quality specifications required by customers to staffUtilize LEAN management within your business unitMaintain a clean, organized work areaComply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and proceduresWork on/participate in special projects as needed or assigned by ManagementFocus on Delivery, Cost (earn/spend),

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
