**What will your job look like?
**:
- You will be hired into one of the core Amdocs Automation teams and work to ensure smooth and efficient, design, development, implementation, and deployment of Amdocs product built on distributed system.
- You will present demos of the software products to partners and internal/external customers, using technical knowledge to influence the direction and evolution of the product/solution.
- You will Investigate issues by reviewing/debugging code and providing fixes (analyzes and fixes bugs) and workarounds, will review changes for operability to maintain existing software solutions, will highlight risks and will help mitigate risks from technical aspects.
- You will bring continuous improvements/efficiencies to the software or business processes by utilizing software engineering tools and various innovative techniques and reusing existing solutions.
By means of automation, reduces design complexity, reduces time to response, and simplifies the client/end-user experience.
- You will provide technical leadership to software engineers by coaching and mentoring throughout end-to-end software development, maintenance,
and lifecycle to achieve project goals to the required level of quality; promote team engagement and motivation.
- Provide recommendations to the software engineering manager for estimates, resource needs, break throughs and risks; identifying risks and handling mitigation and critical issues.
**All you need is..

- Bachelor's degree in Science/IT/Computing or equivalent
- 5-8 years of software engineering experience
- Strong understanding of software development/support methodologies and tools
- 5+ years of hands-on Java development experience
- 3+ years of experience with Microservices and Cloud projects
- Proficiency in REST Services, Spark, Angular, Docker, Kubernetes, NoSQL databases (preferably Cassandra), Kafka, Helm, and JUnit
- Knowledge of public cloud platforms (preferably Azure)
- Experience with distributed systems and complex SQL queries
- Work exposure to:
- Cassandra
- Kafka and Spark
- Kubernetes
- Cloud platforms
