Position Summary
Vertiv is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor responsible for overseeing the safety, quality, service, cost productivity, and employee morale within the assigned manufacturing department.
The Production Supervisor will act as a liaison between shop-floor teams and management, addressing manufacturing, quality, process, and engineering-related issues. The role involves supervising production operators such as assemblers, inspectors, machine operators, and fabricators to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to production standards.
The idóneo candidate is adaptable to change, able to adjust production schedules, promote two-way communication, foster a strong organizational culture, and continuously drive improvements in processes and team performance.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Operations Management
- Supervise and coordinate activities of production staff including assemblers, inspectors, machine operators, and fabricators.
- Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet manufacturing targets.
- Maintain capacity plans and adjust production schedules as required.
- Coordinate with other supervisors to ensure seamless operations across departments.
Quality & Process Control
- Inspect materials, products, and equipment to identify defects or malfunctions.
- Monitor gauges, dials, and indicators to ensure operators meet production standards.
- Review production schedules, work orders, and operational reports to determine requirements and output.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety and environmental regulations within the production environment.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
Team Leadership & Development
- Train employees on equipment operations, work procedures, and safety practices.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback for improvement.
- Foster collaboration, communication, and teamwork within the production team.
- Maintain records of employee attendance and working hours.
Production Planning & Reporting
- Communicate daily customer order status and production updates.
- Develop corrective action plans to recover delayed or overdue production.
- Work with management to develop solutions, programs, and operational improvements.
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Manufacturing Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Industrial Engineering
- Or equivalent practical experience
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing or engineering environments.
- Industry experience in one or more of the following sectors is preferred:
- Industrial Manufacturing
- Automotive
- Healthcare Manufacturing
- Telecommunications
- Fabrication
- Electrical Power Generation

Additional Requirements
- Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred – approximately 80% proficiency in both languages.
