Reporting to the Global Head of Tax, the LATAM Tax Director will lead the overall tax strategy and governance framework across Latin America while ensuring compliance, risk mitigation and value creation throughout the region.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the regional tax strategy aligned with integral policies and governance.
- Act as the primary tax advisor for LATAM leadership and business stakeholders.
- Oversee corporate income tax compliance across multiple Latin American jurisdictions through external advisors.
- Ensure accurate tax reporting, provisions, filings and statutory compliance.
- Lead regional tax accounting and support quarterly and annual reporting processes.
- Oversee transfer pricing governance, documentation and cross-border transactions.
- Manage indirect tax matters including VAT, withholding taxes and customs-related tax issues.
- Lead tax audits, controversy matters,
assessments and negotiations with tax authorities.
- Identify tax risks while developing strategies to mitigate exposures and maximize value creation.
- Support restructuring projects, legal entity changes, business transformations and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with Finance, Legal, Treasury, Controlling and Operations to integrate tax considerations into business decisions.
- Strengthen tax governance, internal controls, reporting and KPI monitoring.
- Drive process standardization, automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and develop the regional tax team while coordinating external service providers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Influence senior leadership across multiple business units within a complex matrix organization.
