The Mechanical Design Engineer will support lead engineers with the creation of 3D parts, assembly CAD models, 2D drawings, and 3D Model Based Definitions, Bill of Materials (BOM), and PLM/PDM data. They will perform tasks with minimal supervision and coaching, supporting NPDI projects to develop reliable and accurate designs for water chiller products.
Contribute to the design of chiller products developing structural sheet metal parts and HVAC piping, including refrigerant and hydraulic components.
Create and maintain 3D assembly models in Creo.
Develop 3D parts and create required documentation: 2D drawings or 3D Model Based Definitions (PVZ's).
Collaborate with electrical and thermal engineers to develop new solutions for chiller water systems.
Mechanical Engineering knowledge:
Sheet metal design.
Mechanical assembly.
Welding / Brazing.
5 years of mechanical design experience, preferably in HVAC or refrigeration.
~ CAD – Medium to Expert level; Knowledge of HVAC/R systems and components.
~ Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
10% – could be local, regional, or general.
