Senior Embedded Software Engineer mbedded Linux
Your Role: As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer on the Aptiv Connected Services Edge Platform Linux Team, you will design, develop, enhance, and maintain Aptivmbedded edge platform software for automotive data logging and uploading, including embedded Linux firmware, SoA middleware, OTA update, data acquisition and IoT services.
Design, develop and enhance Aptivmbedded edge platform software for automotive data logging and uploading, including embedded Linux firmware, SoA middleware, OTA update, data acquisition and IoT services.
Design, develop and enhance Aptivdge computing software.
Design, develop and enhance AptivDAS video capturing and processing software.
Design, develop and enhance Aptivmbedded security software including secure boot and hardware trust anchor integration.
Embedded software system bring-up on new hardware, including kernels and drivers development.
Collaborate with systems analysts, engineers, and developers to troubleshoot issues, implement improvements, and ensure system reliability and performance.




Mentor junior team developers.
5+ years C++ software development experience.
~ Proven ability to design, develop and debug a complex embedded software.
~ Experience with automotive serial data networking and protocols, such as CAN/CAN-FD and LIN.
~ Proficient in Linux environments and shell scripting.
~ Experience with agile software development process.
~ Experience with software coding standards or best practices, such as MISRA or C++ Core Guidelines.
~ Experience with service oriented software design.
~ Familiarity with debugging tools, simulation tools, performance profiling, and system optimization techniques.
~ Masteregree in computer science, computer engineering, or related degree programs.
Experience in modern automotive networking and protocols, such as DoIP and Automotive Ethernet.
Experience in Linux BSP development on kernels and drivers.
