- Processes and expedites orders required for plant maintenance and operations; utilizes initiative and creativity to identify and develop alternate sources of key parts and materials.
- Works as required to support best practice strategies; visual workplace management; ensures adherence to standard company processes and procedures.
- Works in partnership with Maintenance Manager and Supervisor to ensure parts are available for planned work and identifies gaps in parts and/or material availability that could impact the business or project schedule.
- Manages internal staff used to aid in various storeroom activities, providing indirect leadership and supervision as required.
- Creates requisitions for new items and stock replenishment, ensures timely delivery and communicates availability and delivery date of requisitioned items.
- Ensures proper parts documentation is obtained and maintained as required.
- Responsible for vendor management and effectively cultivating vendor relationships.
- Inspects incoming materials and performs quality checks.
